About the Look
A skirt designed as a discourse in response to the impending ecological destruction of Lake Meville due to methyl mercury poisoning in late 2019. The 8 panel skirt comes from a deconstructed wedding dress with hair embroidery in the shape of DNA as hair is used for testing methyl mercury in the body & embroidered hand painted fish from that lake. A fishermen's net is draped as a top to showcase the human interaction with nature as it continuously tries to dominate it.
